Our summer Open House celebrates the history of the Kennedy Rose Garden and the rich tradition of gardening at the White House. Enhance your visit to our special exhibit, The Kennedy Rose Garden, Traditionally American, as we partner with the American Horticultural Society, the National Park Service, and Smithsonian Gardens to offer educational resources and garden-inspired activities for all ages, including a special demonstration by Shelley Gaskins, Smithsonian Garden’s Rose Garden Horticulturalist, on the care of roses. Performances by Levine Music students will recall the days when the Kennedys invited performers of all ages to fill the White House and gardens with music. Throughout the day, our historic Decatur House will also be open for tours.
