Part II: Program Appeal
We are interested in learning which aspect of our outreach programs convinced your school to reserve a space. Please check only two boxes which best describe the primary reasons you requested WHHA outreach to come to your classroom:
The program is free
The program enhanced the curriculum
Our teachers needed a break
It sounded like a program that would engage the students
There is little time for history education in the classroom, so this seemed like a good way to cover the topic
With transportation costs, it was appealing that the program came to our school

Will you reserve this program again next year?  Yes  Maybe  No
Why or why not?

The best thing about this program is ...

How can we improve this program?

Part III: Standards v. Enrichment
Which priority is more important to you:
This program is standards-based
This program exposes my students to content outside the curriculum
Please comment on the priority you selected:

Part IV: Timing
Resource Package Timing:
When should the Resource Package arrive in order to give you enough time to review the materials and teach the pre-lesson to your students?

Class-Visit Time Frame:
We are considering increasing the length of programs for grades 4-6 to 90 minutes, instead of 60. This consideration is based on feedback that students wanted additional time to ask questions, and also the desire to add document analysis activities to the upper-grade levels. In short, we believe that increasing the time will allow a higher quality program for upper-elementary students. This would affect scheduling because we would only be able to offer three 90 minute sessions (as opposed to four 60 minute sessions) in one day. All K-3 programs will remain 60 minutes long.
Which do you prefer:
Keep programs for Grades 4-6 at 60 minutes
Allow teachers a choice: up to 4 60 minute programs (with little Q and A time) or 3 90 minute programs
Only offer 90 minute programs for grades 4-6
Comments on 90 minute programs:

Part V: Technology
We are considering enhancing our website's educational offerings.
Which would you use:
Email Newsletter with featured documents (photographs, etc.) and suggested activities (Bi-monthly or four times during the school year)
Program Blog?Teachers can write in to describe follow-up activities they conducted with students after a particular program
Availability of student or class created power points and other programs based on the program (i.e. Presidential biographies); subject to WHHA approval and oversight
Pod-Cast Tours (IPOD tours)
Online interactive tour of White House artworks
