Special White House Tour

Enter the White House Complex at the corner of 15th Street and Alexander Hamilton Place, just west of the Willard Hotel and south of the Department of Treasury.

Preregistration required.

You must present a valid, government-issues photo I.D. with information matching the name submitted for clearance. Individuals without acceptable identification of whose identification does not exactly match the name or data cleared for entry may be denied entry.

The following items are prohibited on the tour: video cameras, including any action camcorders, cameras with detachable lenses, tablets, tripods, monopods, and camera sticks; handbags, book bags, backpacks, or purses; food or beverages, tobacco products, personal grooming items (i.e. makeup, lotion, etc.); strollers; pointed objects, aerosol containers; guns, ammunition, fireworks, electric stun guns, mace, martial arts weapons/devices, or knives of any size.

There are no storage facilities available at the White House to check a bag or a prohibited item. If it is raining, umbrellas are permitted. Cameras, cell phones, and cell phones with cameras are allowed, however there is no talking of texting on your phone inside the White House.
