The American Eagle and Star Tie: Celebrating American Symbols

100% Silk, Woven Tie

The American Eagle and Stars woven into this tie celebrate the two symbols selected to represent our nation from its beginning. The Founding Fathers admired the beauty and independence of the American Bald Eagle and chose it as our national bird when designing the Great Seal of the United States. The eagle on our tie is derived from the Resolute Desk in the White House Collection. Thirteen five-pointed stars arranged in a circle to represent the original thirteen colonies were included in the first American flag. Today's flag containing 50 stars, one for each state, is proudly hung throughout the White House and inspired the star on our tie.

100% silk. Woven in France for the White House Historical Association.
