President Andrew Jackson on Horseback: Celebrating Military Heroism

General Andrew Jackson's victory over the British at the battle of New Orleans during War of 1812 made him a national hero. The statue commemorating the event is now a central landmark of Lafayette Park across from the White House. Jackson, who served as the seventh president of the United States is seen on horseback. Printed in patriotic colors this tie is patterned with an illustration the famous statue and the White House.
