The White House Historical Association is dedicated to educating the public about the history of the White House. In an effort to bring the White House to schools, we offer a variety of free programs for Kindergarten- 6th grade students in the Metropolitan D.C. area. These standards-based programs feature a classroom visit from an experienced educator. Participating teachers also receive classroom resource sets including pre and post lesson materials. All programs are hands-on, utilize interactive teaching methods, and highlight primary source documents, historic costumes, and in some cases, object replicas.
