"Maple Leaf Rag," by Scott Joplin

The Marine Band first played Scott Joplin’s "Maple Leaf Rag" at the White House with coaxing from President Theodore Roosevelt’s daughter Alice, who asked for the new "jazz music" at a White House diplomatic reception.
