Description: Laura Bush meets with Nane Annan, wife of UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan, in the Yellow Oval Room. Dolley Madison first put yellow curtains and furniture in this room in 1814. Jacqueline Kennedy used a yellow color scheme to decorate the room as a formal reception area in 1961.
