Title: President Bush and his National Security Council

Description: In the wake of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, President Bush met with his National Security Council in the Cabinet Room in the West Wing. This room has been used since 1934 for many important meetings. Vice President Dick Cheney and Joint Chiefs of Staff Hugh Shelton sit to the right of the president, and Secretary of State Colin Powell and Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld are to his left.
