Title: Photograph of Frances Cleveland

Description: Frances Folsom was only twenty-one when she married Grover Cleveland and became the youngest first lady to live in the White House. Mrs. Cleveland held two weekly receptions, one of which was on Saturday so working women could attend. At the end of President Cleveland’s first term Mrs. Cleveland told one of the White House workers, “We are coming back just four years from today,” and they did.
