Title: Oil Portrait of Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy

Description: With a background in art and deep love of history, Jacqueline Kennedy filled the White House with furnishings and art used by previous presidential families. She also acquired furniture that reflected the best craftsmanship. To ensure the White House highlighted American history, she created the White House Historical Association. Mrs. Kennedy wanted a guidebook published to provide the public with a history of the house and its collection. The Association created the book and has updated it ever since.
