Description: The light greens, blues, and pinks of Henriette Wyeth’s portrait of Patricia Ryan Nixon highlight the first lady’s beauty. While in the White House, Mrs. Nixon added 600 paintings and antiques to the White House collection. On Sundays she held a nondenominational worship service in the East Room as part of an initiative to encourage volunteer service.
