Title: Photograph of Ethel Roosevelt Derby

Description: Ethel Roosevelt, who was only ten when photographed here, held her debut into society in the White House on December 28, 1908. It was an all-night party for the young unmarried guests, with dinner at midnight and dancing until morning. President and Mrs. Roosevelt left the party soon after receiving the guests at ten.
