Title: President and Mrs. Roosevelt with their Grandchildren

Description: President and Mrs. Roosevelt posed for this photograph with their thirteen grandchildren on January 20, 1945, the president’s fourth inaugural ceremony. To accommodate her grandchildren, Mrs. Roosevelt ordered slides, swings, and sandboxes built on the South Lawn of the White House. The Roosevelt family lived in the White House longer than any other first family.
