Katey joined the Association as a History Fellow in August 2022. She is a first-year Public History Master’s student at American University. Katey received her Bachelor’s degrees in History and Accounting from Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) in Spring 2022. There, she researched Everglades National Park’s historical impact on Seminole and Miccosukee Nations. She also created a digital history of FGCU. Katey has previously worked for Everglades National Park as a history intern.
