The White House is majestic every day of the year, but it becomes truly magical during the holidays—with or without a blanket of snow. The traditions, decorations, and festivities surrounding Hanukkah, Christmas, and New Year’s Day brighten the darkest days of winter. Donna Hayashi Smith, Associate Curator of Collections and Registrar with the Office of the Curator at the White House will join History Happy Hour to share more about the White House collection of holiday artifacts! We are pleased that Dr. Merlynn Carson, member of the National Council on White House History, will moderate this episode!

History Happy Hour is a biweekly virtual program hosted by the White House Historical Association. Join us as experts weigh in on a variety of historical topics, share their insights, answer audience questions, and enjoy presidential-inspired libations.
