History Happy Hour is a weekly virtual program hosted by the White House Historical Association. Join us as experts weigh in on a variety of historical topics, share their insights, answer audience questions, and enjoy presidential-inspired libations.

In this History Happy Hour Ken Walsh will focus on White House staff photographers as ultimate insiders in the White House. They have access to public and private moments of the presidents, at times of triumph and failure, and have become visual historians whose photographs and recollections are invaluable to understanding the presidency.

Kenneth T. Walsh is a contributing White House and political analyst for U.S. News & World Report. He has covered the presidency for U.S. News since 1986. He has authored nine books on the presidency and is former president of the White House Correspondents' Association. He is an adjunct professorial lecturer at American University's School of Communication in Washington, D.C.
