East Room of the White House

This circa 1904 black and white photograph depicts the East Room of the White House after the Roosevelt renovation of 1902 by the firm of McKim, Mead, and White. The "Gold Grand" piano in the center of the image was a gift to the White House from Steinway and Sons in 1903.
