Food Preparations in White House Kitchen

This photograph of the White House Kitchen staff preparing souffles was taken in April 1970 by Joseph J. Scherschel during the administration of Richard M. Nixon. Pastry chef Heinz Bender removes them from the oven, while White House Assistant Executive Chef Hans Raffert assists at the right. The White House Kitchen is located on the Ground Floor of the Executive Mansion.
