President Biden Toasts Emmanuel Macron at State Dinner

This photograph of President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. sharing a toast with President Emmanuel Macron of the French Republic was taken by Matthew D'Agostino for the White House Historical Association on December 1, 2022. Biden and Macron were photographed onstage during a State Dinner held in honor of the French president's visit to the White House. Earlier in the day, President Biden and First Lady Dr. Jill Biden welcomed Macron and Brigitte Macron, spouse to the president of France, to the White House at a State Arrival Ceremony on the South Lawn. The State Dinner followed that evening, held in a temporary enclosed pavilion also on the South Lawn. All use of images needs to be approved by WHHA in writing.
