President Bush and Former President Bush with 2008 Men's Olympic Swim Team

In this photograph, taken by Shealah Craighead on August 10, 2008, President George W. Bush and his father, former President George H. W. Bush pose with members of the United States Olympic swim team at the Beijing National Aquatics Center during the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing, China. Holding an American flag aloft to the right of George H. W. Bush is Olympic champion Michael Phelps. At the 2008 Summer Games, Phelps set a new record for the most medals earned by an athlete in a single Olympic Games, earning eight gold medals. Upon his retirement from swimming following the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janiero, Brazil, Phelps held multiple world records including most decorated Olympic athlete of all time, winner of most gold medals, and holder of most individual Olympic titles. Also photographed is long distance swimmer Larsen Jensen, winner of two Olympic medals in his career.
