President Bush and Former President Bush with 2008 Men's Olympic Swim Team

Holding an American flag aloft to the right of George H. W. Bush is Olympic champion Michael Phelps. At the 2008 Summer Games, Phelps set a new record for the most medals earned by an athlete in a single Olympic Games, earning eight gold medals. Upon his retirement from swimming following the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janiero, Brazil, Phelps held multiple world records including most decorated Olympic athlete of all time, winner of most gold medals, and holder of most individual Olympic titles. Also photographed is long distance swimmer Larsen Jensen, winner of two Olympic medals in his career.
