Food Preparations in White House Kitchen

This photograph of the White House chefs preparing food was taken in April 1970 by Joseph J. Scherschel during the administration of Richard M. Nixon. Here, White House Executive Chef Henry Haller watches Franklin Blair carry a plate of food to the central work table. Already on the table are trays of beef Wellington, which White House Assistant Executive Chef Hans Raffert is seen examining. The White House Kitchen is located on the Ground Floor of the Executive Mansion.
