Food Preparations in White House Kitchen

This photograph of the White House Kitchen staff preparing souffles was taken in April 1970 by Joseph J. Scherschel during the administration of Richard M. Nixon. White House Assistant Executive Chef Hans Raffert can be seen removing the souffles from a cooling drawer while pastry chef Heinz Bender stands to the left. The White House Kitchen is located on the Ground Floor of the Executive Mansion.
