Adams Tea and Coffee Urn, White House Collection

This silver tea or coffee urn was made in Sheffield, England, between 1785 and 1788. John Adams may have purchased it while he served as the minister to England in the 1780s. The neoclassical urn is engraved with the initials "JAA," for John and Abigail Adams.
