International Presidents’ Day Wreath Laying
On Presidents’ Day, the White House Historical Association partners with US Embassies around the world for an international wreath laying ceremony at presidential statues and monuments. This collaboration honors the history of American presidents globally and brings attention to the meaningful leadership that each of these statues represent. The tradition began in 2022 when the Association partnered with the US Consulate in Edinburgh, Scotland to lay a wreath at the statue of Abraham Lincoln.
