Dorothy Jastrzembski joined the Association in August 2024 as the Store Manager for The White House History Shop, newly located at The Peoples’ House: A White House Experience. She brings over three decades of retail management and world class service, most recently from the United States Capitol Visitor Center Gift Shops. As a manager, she views the daily and seasonal challenges as an opportunity to exercise her organizational and creative thinking skills to find results-driven solutions for the organization and her customers. As a mentor, she creates and upholds impeccable standards for her team, many of whom have flourished under her guidance. She is extremely passionate about the mission and is thrilled that her team’s hard work gives back to the association.
Dorothy is originally from New Jersey and remains connected to her Polish heritage and is fluent in Polish. In 2015, she took a short trip to the DMV and fell in love with the area. She relocated to Maryland with her husband the following year and has lived here ever since.
