After working as an editorial freelance photographer and Digital Asset Management consultant in the Baltimore/D.C. area, Matthew joined the Association in 2013. Matthew began his career at the Slidell Sentry-News, and shortly thereafter, the Time Picayune newspapers in Louisiana. He has taught photography courses at Johns Hopkins University and La Universidad del Valle in Guatemala City, and holds a master's degree in ethnography from Tulane University, where he studied the roles of U.S. health workers abroad.
