While Jacqueline Kennedy and her dear friend Bunny Mellon were redecorating the White House, President John F. Kennedy came to Bunny with a request: transform the view from the Oval Office into a lavish space for soirees and ceremonies. Linda Jane Holden author of The Gardens of Bunny Mellon joins us for History Happy Hour to share both the stories and beautiful images of these iconic garden spaces. Moderating the episode will be Lisa Manning, a member of our National Council on White House History.

Kicking off the episode will be Bridget Albert, Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits Senior National Director of Education Beam Suntory, author of Market-Fresh Mixology, and co-hostess of the podcast Served Up. Bridget will be mixing up the Rose Garden Spritz cocktail.

History Happy Hour is a biweekly virtual program hosted by the White House Historical Association. Join us as experts weigh in on a variety of historical topics, share their insights, answer audience questions, and enjoy presidential-inspired libations.
