On March 23, 2023, Stewart visited Neumann University to talk about the mission of the White House Historical Association and share stories of White House history.

On March 1, 2023, Stewart travelled to his alma mater, the University of Alabama, to share White House history with members of UA’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institute and university faculty.

James Hoban Society of the United States

On October 25, 2022, Stewart addressed the James Hoban Society of Charleston, South Carolina and shared the story of James Hoban’s professional life and his involvement in the design and construction of the White House.

Samford University

On October 20, 2022, Stewart travelled to Birmingham, Alabama to deliver a lecture to the Samford University of the Arts Department of Architecture and Interior Design.

Mona Lisa in New York: The Role of Art in Cultural Diplomacy

On September 1, 2022, Stewart moderated a panel on art and cultural diplomacy with Ambassador Philippe Etienne, Ambassador of France to the United States to the Embassy of France; Kaywin Feldman, Director of National Gallery of Art; and Bénédicte de Montlaur, President and CEO of World Monuments Fund. He discussed the story of how First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy worked to have the famous painting, the Mona Lisa, come to the National Gallery of Art in Washington D.C. and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City for individuals to see in person.

2022 Concordia Americas Summit

On July 14, 2022, Stewart delivered remarks on the morning programming sessions of the 2022 Concordia Americas Summit. He acknowledged the White House Historical Association and Concordia’s long partnership and offered each person attending a copy of the book, To Live on Lafayette Square: Society and Politics in the President’s Neighborhood by William Seale.

Rotary Club of Edinburgh, Scotland

In March 2022, Stewart spoke to the Rotary Club of Edinburgh, Scotland about White House history and the historic connections between Scotland and the United States.

Smithsonian Associates

On March 28, 2022, Stewart spoke with the Smithsonian Associates about James Hoban, the designer and builder of the White House and the enslaved, free, and European laborers who also worked to construct the Executive Mansion.

Charleston Heritage Symposium Keynote Address

On March 10, 2022, Stewart delivered the opening keynote for the Preservation Society of Charleston’s Annual Heritage Symposium.

On March 4, 2022, Stewart delivered the keynote address at the annual meeting of the Ulysses S. Grant Association at the Grant Presidential Library housed at Mississippi State University.

He shared the prestigious history of the White House, the importance of preserving its history, and the role of the White House Historical Association in making these things more accessible to the public.
