Retiring in 2007 as Vice Chair of Profit Investment Management, Barbara Bowles established the Landers Bowles Family Foundation, where she serves as CEO. Barbara serves as a director of several corporations and organizations, including the Museum of Science and Industry and the Chicago Urban League. Barbara retired as Presiding Director of WEC Energy Group in 2020. Her awards include, HistoryMaker, Alumni of the Year from the African American MBA Association of the Booth School of Business, and Midwest Regional UNCF award. A Nashville native, she holds an MBA from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business and a BA in Mathematics with Honors from Fisk University where she has served as the Chair of the Board of Trustees. She and her husband Earl are residents of the Hyde Park-Kenwood Community of Chicago.
