John Dalton retired from the Housing Policy Council in June 2017. He serves on the corporate boards of Xactus Corporation and Crius Technology Group and the nonprofit boards of Washington National Cathedral, Community Renewal International, PathNorth and the White House Historical Association. He is grateful for the government service he had as Secretary of the Navy, Chairman of the Federal Home Loan Bank Board, President of the Government National Mortgage Association and the President’s Advisory Council for the Arts.
