Marlene Malek is a health care advocate and patron of the arts. She is Vice-Chairman of Friends of Cancer Research, serves on the Board of M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, as well as Duke University’s Cancer Institute. Malek received a President Appointment to the National Cancer Advisory Board. She is Vice-Chairman of the Board at Marymount University. A Presidential Appointee to the Board of Trustees at the Kennedy Center, she now serves on the International Committee. She serves on Boards of Trustees for organizations including, National Museum of Women in the Arts, Ford’s Theater, the George & Barbara Bush Foundation, Vital Voices Global Partnership, and WETA Public Broadcasting. She resides in McLean, VA.
