William H. Freeman (Bill) serves as Chairman of Freeman Webb Incorporated, a real estate investment, management, and brokerage company he co-founded with Jimmy Webb in 1979. The largest Tennessee-based owner / manager of multi-family and commercial properties, the company has been repeatedly recognized by local and national associations for their community and industry leadership.

Prior to founding Freeman Webb, Mr. Freeman was the Director of Downtown Urban Development for the Metropolitan Nashville Development and Housing Agency (MDHA).

A strong supporter of charitable and community organizations, he currently serves on the boards for the Nashville Davidson County Mental Health and Veterans Assistance Foundation, the Reno Air Racing Association, as well as serves on the University of Tennessee President’s Council. Most recently, Mr. Freeman was appointed to the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board by President Biden in 2022.

Mr. Freeman has served on many other boards, including the Kennedy Center Advisory Committee on the Arts appointed by President Obama and the Tennessee State University Board of Trustees appointed by Governor Haslam. Bill also served on the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority Board of Directors, University of Tennessee Alumni Board of Directors as well as the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association Presidents Council. He is an alumnus of Leadership Nashville and served as Commissioner of the Nashville Convention Center. He was named Man of the Year by the Nashville Area Junior Chamber of Commerce and Father of the Year by the American Diabetes Association. A long-time Mason, he has been a two-time Past Master of Corinthian Masonic Lodge and was recently bestowed the high honor of 33rd Degree Scottish Rite Mason in July of this year.

Mr. Freeman is the former Treasurer for the Tennessee Democratic Party.
Mr. Freeman and his beloved wife, Babs Tinsley Freeman, are proud of their three sons, Bob, Harvey, and Mike and seven grandchildren.
