This silver sauce boat and tray was made by Martin-Guillaume Biennais, official silversmith to Napoleon and a great favorite of the Russian aristocracy during the reign of Tsar Alexander I. It was acquired by President Andrew Jackson. Height: 8 1/2 inches; length of stand: 11 inches.
