Q: What is included in the registration fee?
A: The registration fee covers access to all daytime programming, evening events, breakfast and lunches. Please note that evening events will include receptions, but full dinners will not be served.
Q: May I bring a guest to any of the events?
A: All sessions, events, and excursions are for registered attendees only.
Q: Is there a room block with a discounted rate?
A: We are pleased to offer a discounted rate at the historic Mayflower Hotel. To book a room within the block please click here.
Q: Can I extend my reservation outside of the room block?
A: Please contact the Mayflower Hotel to inquire about extending your reservation. We cannot guarantee the group rate outside of the Summit dates.
Q: Can I show up to the Mayflower Hotel and register the day of the Summit?
A: Same-day registration will not be accepted. Please register online and in advance.
Q: What if I wish to stay elsewhere in the city?
A: There are several other hotels in Washington, DC where you may book your stay, however, the Mayflower is the only hotel where a discounted rate will be offered. We recommend staying at the Mayflower as the majority of sessions will take place at the hotel. Transportation to and from the evening events will be arranged for pick-up and drop-off at the hotel.
Q: How will I get to the offsite evening events?
A: Attendees will be transported to evening events on complimentary buses with pick-up and drop-off from the Mayflower Hotel. We strongly encourage all attendees to take the buses since parking is not available at the offsite venues.
Q: How can I register for the optional day trips to presidential sites?
A: You can sign up for the optional day trips when you register for the Summit. Please note that complimentary tickets will be provided, however, transportation is not included. If you have registered for the Summit but wish to sign up for a day trip, please contact PSS@whha.org.
Q: What is the dress code for the Summit?
A: Business casual for daytime sessions. Business attire is appropriate for the evening events.
Q: I am no longer able to attend the Summit. Can I get a refund?
A: Please contact PSS@whha.org to inquire about a refund for the registration fee. To cancel your hotel reservation, please contact the Mayflower Hotel directly.
Q: What is the White House Historical Association’s photo policy?
A: The White House Historical Association (WHHA) will take photos of attendees throughout the conference. WHHA will hold the copyright to these photos and they may appear on the WHHA's website, newsletters, digital library, conference brochures, social media platforms, or other future WHHA promotional material. By virtue of your attendance, you agree to usage of your likeness in such media.
