David Sweeney
Senior Director, Corporate and Foundation Relations
David joined the Association in September 2022 to become its first head of corporate relations. He has lived in Washington, DC for the past ten years where he has developed a passion for history and government. David got his start in Washington working for the U.S. House of Representatives. Prior to joining the Association, David worked for a corporate membership nonprofit focused on congressional affairs. There he was responsible for designing and implementing programs that brought together elected officials, diplomats, business leaders, and academics to engage in constructive dialogue on policy issues. A native of Oswego, Illinois, David received his B.A. from the University of Michigan where he was also a member of the varsity track and field team.
