Luci Shanahan
Chief Retail Officer
Luci Shanahan joined the Association in 2023 to lead growth initiatives for the retail business. She brings almost two decades of experience across the many formats of retail, from ecommerce, to specialty, to department store, where she held progressive roles in both buying and private brand leadership. Luci is a native of Chicago, Illinois but first became passionate about DC history and culture when her older sister served with the Old Guard, 3rd US Infantry - the Army's official ceremonial unit and escort to the president. Inspired to make DC her home, Luci attended The George Washington University where she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration. Shortly after, she attended the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM) in Los Angeles where she earned a professional credential in Merchandise Product Development that launched her career in corporate retail.
