White House History with Frank Sesno: Origins of the Televised Presidency

The White House Historical Association’s first lecture of the 2023 Quarterly Lecture Series, White House History with Frank Sesno, took place on January 24, 2023 and explored the origins of the televised presidency.

The speakers for the event included Kelly O’Donnell, NBC Senior White House Correspondent, Mike McCurry, former White House Press Secretary to President Clinton, and Dr. Martha Kumar, Professor Emerita at Towson University. The speakers drew upon their professional experiences and expertise to discuss how television has changed the presidency over the last sixty years.
