Andrew Jackson's Horse - Bolivia

This oil on canvas painting of President Andrew Jackson's gray mare Bolivia was completed by Edward Troye in 1836. President Jackson bred horses at his home near Nashville, Tennessee, The Hermitage, and kept a racing stable at the White House. In addition to Bolivia, Jackson had horses named Lady Nashville, Emilie, and Busiris.
