Carriage gate to the Corcoran House

The carriage gate leading from H Street into the grounds of the Corcoran house. When this photograph was taken by Frances Benjamin Johnston, c. 1900, the house was owned by Corcoran’s grandson William Corcoran Eustis and his wife Edith Morton Eustis, daughter of Benjamin Harrison’s vice-president, Levi Morton.
