Official 2022 White House Christmas Ornament in the China Room
This photograph of the Official 2022 White House Christmas Tree Ornament in the China Room was taken by David Wiegold on November 28, 2022 during a press preview of the White House holiday decorations. President Joseph R. Biden and First Lady Dr. Jill Biden selected "We the People" as the 2022 holiday theme. Decor was inspired by Americans' shared values, unity, and community--both during the holiday season and year-round. Decorations in the China Room highlighted family traditions and holiday recipes. The 2022 Official White House Christmas Ornament honors the tradition, started by First Lady Pat Nixon, of displaying a gingerbread house in the State Dining Room during the holiday season.
